The multidimensional prism of the legend of Kaykhosrow has a significant capacity for interpretation through various approaches and a high ability to adapt to both old and new works of art worldwide. By studying this story, based on the plot of “Western screenplays”, new angles and dimensions of this work are revealed. For this purpose, the present study adapts the story of Kaykhosrow to the stages of the hero's journey and its role in Western films. The primary source in this research is Ferdowsi's narration of the legend of Kaykhosrow, which possesses a more epic and earthly aspect than mythological narratives and is therefore more suitable for adaptation in contemporary works. The main framework of the research is the plot of classic Western films, which Will Wright extracted through his study of dozens of Western cinemas. These studies show that, despite many differences in the temporal, spatial, and cultural origins of the "legend of Kaykhosrow" and the "Western film", there are many commonalities between the two. The archetypal foundations of "Western cinema" and the purely human themes in "Kaykhosrow's story" are important factors in the correspondence and similarity between these works, which makes the global significance of "Kaykhosrow's legend" significant in the Context of comparative literature.
